Portrait or Personal Image - Daniel J Nolan

Dan is a 1962 graduate of the New York Institute of Photography. He currently works with several 35 mm cameras as well as digital cameras. At the Sandnes, Norway Photographic Salon a few years ago, his work was the only USA entry chosen for exhibition. His work has been exhibited in Salons in Hong Kong, South Africa, Calgary, Toronto, London, Paris, and extensively throughout the USA. He and his wife Betty reside in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York, where they have been since 1973.
He also has had numerous photographs published in books and magazines as well as encyclopedias, calendars, and periodicals.

“Boys Fishing on Honeoye Lake” as worldwide picture of the day for April 7, 2002.
His most recent exhibitions are one-man shows of 27 photographs, color, black & white, and digital, at the Link Gallery in the City Hall of Rochester New York and The Café at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in the Mall Store in the Town of Greece, New York. He has also had one-man shows at the Corning, NY Senior Citizen Center and the Main Office of the Canandaigua National Bank.
The beautiful magazine, "Life In The Finger Lakes", published in Geneva, New York, has used Dan's photo "Snowy Terrain" on the cover of it's Winter 2004-2005 issue. Also they used his "Boys Fishing" photo on the cover of the Summer 2006 issue.
Rochester's Newspaper, The Democrat & Chronicle, in it's Artist Spotlight Column on May 15,2005, featured a story on Dan and The Boys Fishing photograph. ,
